About

About Us

A grassroots coalition standing with Kentuckians who rely on Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS).

Who we are

Save Medicaid Kentucky is a grassroots coalition of families, self-advocates, providers, caregivers, Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), and community supporters dedicated to protecting and strengthening Kentucky's Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS).

We stand with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, physical disabilities, medically complex Kentuckians, older adults receiving waiver services, and the families and DSPs who make daily life possible. We believe every Kentuckian deserves the opportunity to live safely in their community with dignity, independence, and access to quality care.

Our mission

Protecting Kentucky's most vulnerable.Empowering families through advocacy.Strengthening home and community-based services together.

We advocate through education, civic engagement, collaboration, and informed public policy. Our work centers on building solutions with the Governor's Office, the Cabinet for Health and Family Services, the General Assembly, providers, advocacy organizations, and families—so Kentuckians can remain in their homes and communities with the care they need.
